Define what must remain unchanged
- Inlet and outlet shape, flange dimensions, bolt pattern and face-to-face height.
- Drive position, rotation requirements, electrical supply and access for removal.
- Material handled, particle size, bulk density, throughput, temperature and pressure differential.
- Required contact materials, cleaning method and documentation.
For an existing valve replacement
Provide nameplate photographs, the existing model, interface measurements and the reason for replacement. Identify whether the current equipment meets capacity and sealing requirements. A brand or model reference is a starting point for review, not proof of interchangeability.
Resolve open details before ordering
Request a quotation that identifies the proposed configuration and any unresolved measurements. Confirm the drawing revision, agreed interfaces, drive details and inspection requirements before manufacture. Do not infer tolerance, performance or delivery commitments from a product photograph.
If the primary requirement is cleaning or contact material, compare the stainless steel configuration; for abrasive duty, review the heavy-duty configuration.
