Rotary Valve Quality Control & Inspection Checklist

Agree what will be checked, how acceptance will be judged and which records are required before ordering a rotary valve. This page is a project checklist, not evidence that a particular test, certification or inspection service is included in every order.

Define the acceptance scope before manufacture

Provide the drawing revision, operating conditions and required documentation with your enquiry. Ask for confirmation of the proposed inspection scope, acceptance criteria, report format and any additional cost or lead time.

1. Materials and traceability

Identify the specified body, rotor and contact-part materials. If material records or traceability are required, name the components and document requirements explicitly; a material description or photograph is not a substitute for a record.

2. Dimensions and interfaces

List the inlet and outlet dimensions, bolt pattern, face-to-face height, drive orientation and installation envelope to be checked against the agreed drawing. Use the dimension checklist to prepare measured interfaces.

3. Rotor, assembly and drive

Ask which clearance, rotation, assembly and drive checks apply to the proposed configuration. Agree the measurement conditions and limits; this page does not specify a universal rotor clearance or tolerance.

4. Performance and special requirements

If capacity, leakage, noise, cleaning or other performance acceptance is required, specify the test conditions and pass criteria for review. A dimensional check or no-load run alone does not demonstrate performance with your material under operating pressure.

5. Records and release

Agree the documents needed before dispatch, any witness requirements and how deviations will be reviewed. Confirm availability and scope in writing; see project documentation requirements.
